Falta solo un juego para que se acabe la temporada de Basketball de la categoria de 9 a 10 anos que es en la que juega Noah.
Lo curioso del tema es que ayer domingo mientras me alistaba para filmar el partido y tomar algunas fotografias, se me fueron acercando uno a uno los padres de los chicos que estaban jugando. Comentaron sobre la maravilla que es tener ahora su propia cuenta de www.orb24.com y estar recibiendo los videos de cada uno de los partidos de la temporada asi como las fotos de cada uno de los jugadores.
Algunos me han dicho que algunos de sus familiares (abuelos, tios, hermanos etc) que ya tienen su propia cuenta gratis en orb24 estan viendo los videos de los juegos , siguiendo cada unos de los logros de los chicos en el deporte.
Todo esto me lleva a una reflexion interesante, sera que al fin la gente esta tomando en cuenta la importancia de hacer un archivo seguro de sus videos y fotografias?
Sera que despues de tantos desastres naturales, algunos han hecho conciencia de la importancia de preservar sus fotografias, videos, documentos y otros archivos digitales, en un sitio web unico, seguro?.

Ahora que Orb24 ofrece la posibilidad de convertir viejos videos a DVD , aquellos que estan en formato VHS se pueden convertir a DVD, de formato beta a DVD inlcuso esos rollos de pelicula que la gente piensa que ya no se pueden preservar, esos tambien orb24 ofrece la posibilidad de convertirlos en DVD .
Recuperar esas memorias registradas hace tantos anos, esos recuerdos de familia, que ahora se puedan ver , preservar y compartir, eso no tiene precio.

A la vuelta de unos años, yo se bien que esos videos de los chicos jugando basketball que estamos registrando y compartiendo con los padres, esos videos no van a ser invaluables cuando los que hoy son los protagonistas del juego sean quienes compartan esos recuerdos de infancia con sus propios hijos.

Hi All.  Some updates to the site..

1.  Newsletter signup form on www.orb24.com home page.

2. Conversion Services – Send us a box is now live.  You can fill out a short form and send the box to us and we will call you back with a quote and complete the order. 

3. Conversion Services – Upload Video to Orb24 only.  DOnt want a DVD back?  Thats cool. We will just convert it to digital for you. Optimize the video. Then upload to your personal Orb24 cyber home.

4.  “Add to my orb24″ – If you share a video(s) or photo(s) with someone or they share with you from their Orb24 account when you click “add to my orb24″ the process is much quicker and more effiicent now.  By the way, this is a really cool feature which most sites dont let you do unles syou are purchasing the pictures.  We just want you to be happy and manage your pictures. If you want to order prints that totally cool by us.

Coming next week will be some great upgrades to the site.  1.  My Documents.  This will become more like a folder and file management system you are used to in windows.  We are adding subfolders and some other cool features.  This will be live by Wednesday of next week.  2.  Mail.  We have been working on this for quite some time and this will be live by the end of next week.  The big thing here is the ability to manage your attachments.  3.  Conversion Services.  Taking this to the public side.  This will put us on a whole new level as compared to the competition.  Yes. We will convert your videos for you. But also add them to a account that shares all your digital media.  Very Cool.  Im excited about it.

1.  As mentioned earlier we have officially went live with Conversion Services. Sign in and convert your old VHS, 8 MM, Beta, VHS-C, Minidisk, and any other format to digital.  The best part about converting your old videos is that you get a copy on your orb24 account to share with friends and family.

2.  Invite Friends – We changed the format and text for this.  So please invite your aol, msn, hotmail, or gmail contacts.  You can also import a .csv file from outlook.

3.  Spell Check – We added this feature when you write a new email. 

4.  Lots of general improvements to the speed of the site.

Few changes to report.

1. Conversion Services is now live!   Order VHS to DVD, 8 MM to DVD, Beta to DVD, Prints to DVD, and much more!  The best part is that everything we convert we store to your live orb24 cyber home.  Next week we will be taking this on teh public pages.  Stay Tuned. 

2. Import Outlook Contacts is now live.  You can access this from your Email page.

Import Contacts – You can import contacts from aol, yahoo, msn, hotmail, or gmail.  It will directly add them to your address book.

Comments – When you add comments to an Orb24 user’s photos, or videos it sends an email notification to that orb24 user that notifies them a new comment has been posted.

Rotate Button – Speed of rotate has been improved along with user notification.

Registration Page – Simpler sign up with less fields.

Blogs – Your looking at it.  We just launched this the other day!  Cool.. Finally!
